(Thursday 21st August 2008 to Sunday
24th August 2008)
Marwell
International Wildlife Art Society is celebrating their
tenth anniversary at Marwell Zoological Park in Hampshire,
by holding the world’s largest ‘Wildlife Art’
exhibition! There will be around 700 stunning exhibits on
display by more than 160 artists and sculptors in Marwell
Hall, the historic building in the centre of the grounds.
The show will be supplemented on the weekend by two marquees
next to the exhibition, which are 60’ by 40’
in size and linked together, in which artists and sculptors
will be able to demonstrate their skills, with additional
artwork, cards, prints and photographs available for sale.
A huge variety of exhibits will be on display including
oils, watercolours, pencil, pastel, pyrography, bronze,
3d work and ceramics. There will be an official opening
and awards ceremony on the Special Guest Evening and two
further private view evenings. Normal zoo admission prices
apply during the day.
